Roles and personas
Know what your organization role lets you do, and what your persona changes about the screens and how RIA answers.
Where: Profile chip
Two things shape what you see. Your role decides what you're allowed to do. Your persona decides where eode starts you and how RIA talks to you; it never hides or blocks anything.
The chip at the top right shows your organization and your persona. Open it and the line under your
email gives your standing: Owner of <organization>, Org Admin at <organization> or Member of
<organization>.
Know your organization role
Every organization has exactly one owner, any number of admins, and members. The Organization screen shows yours under You are.
| Owner | Admin | Member | |

Nobody can change or remove the owner.
Know what Org Admin unlocks
Owners and admins are Org Admin across eode. Making someone an admin on the Organization screen makes them Org Admin; making them a member takes it away. Org Admin adds:
- SCOPE on Home: switch every section between Me and Org.
- Responses (admin) on the Beta survey.
- On the Review Queue: every candidate, the Auto-detect setting, and Promote.
- Promoting models to the organization, on Share and govern.
- Every button on RIA's proposals, on every model.
When there's no organization name to show, the chip falls back to a role name: Member, Promoter or Org Admin. Promoter can promote models; it isn't granted from any screen in eode.
What you can do with one particular model (owner, contributor, viewer and so on) is set per model. See Share and govern.
Know what your persona changes
You choose a persona the first time you sign in (First run). There are four:
| Analyst | Modeler | Operator | Executive | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| You picked | I test what-ifs and explain the numbers | I build and maintain the models | I run my part of the plan | I read the headlines and decide |
| Home heading | Welcome back — here's your week. | What's on the bench today? | Today's plan. | Today's decisions are queued up. |
| Home leads with | Your inbox and runs | Your inbox and runs | Plans to run: a grid of models | Models to review: a grid of models |
| Home button when nothing's running | Author a model | Author a model | Open a model to plan | View latest results |
| Edit model on model home and the Library, Edit on Home | ✓ | ✓ | — | — |
| RIA's first line on Home | Ask about approvals, active runs, or what changed this week. | Ask about active runs, your inbox, or the team's recent moves. | Ask what needs you, what's queued, or what changed. | Ask what needs you, what's in flight, or what changed. |
| First landing | Home | Home | Workflows | Home |
An Operator's Home leads with Plans to run; an Executive's with Models to review. Each card opens the model, and Browse all opens the Model Library.
RIA also leans its answers toward your persona: the numbers and what changed for an Analyst, what will change before it lands for a Modeler, a checklist with blockers first for an Operator, and the headline for an Executive. Modelers get their own Suggested chips while editing a model in New Model.
A persona never hides a rail item, a palette command or a screen, and it doesn't change what you're allowed to do. An Operator or Executive who needs to change a model can still reach New Model from the rail.
Change your persona
Your persona is set once, on the first-run picker, and stays with your account. If you closed the picker without choosing, you're an Analyst. There's no setting to change it afterwards.
