How eode works
How eode turns your description into a model, checks it and solves it.
eode turns a description of your business into an optimization model, solves it, and explains the answer. Three things do the work:
- The wizard turns your words, and your workbook if you have one, into a model. It asks about what you left unclear and shows you the design before it builds.
- The optimization engine finds the best plan the model allows, for the goal you set.
- RIA, the assistant, reads the model and its results with you, proposes changes, and builds what-ifs. Nothing it proposes changes your model until you click.

| Page | Answers |
|---|---|
| From description to model | Why eode asks what it asks, when it pauses for your sign-off, and what "sample data" means |
| How RIA acts | What RIA can see, what it can change, and why nothing changes without your click |
| Trust and checks | How eode checks a model when it's built and a number when you read it |
| Your data | Where your data lives, what stays in your browser, how sign-in works |
Words you'll see
| Word | Means |
|---|---|
| Model | Your business as eode understands it: what you decide, what limits you, what you want more or less of. |
| Base | The model solved as built, with no changes. Every what-if is compared with it. |
| Scenario / what-if | A copy of the model with one change you described, solved on its own. |
| Dataset | Data you've loaded into eode, kept apart from any one model so several can use it. |
| Workspace | A board of widgets for reading and presenting a model's results. |
| Workflow | A repeatable process of stages, such as a weekly plan, with approvals between them. |
| Organization | Your company's space in eode. Models and datasets are personal until promoted to it. |
